Where to stay
1. Bundaberg - Hinkler Lions Tourist Park
A 24 hr stop at Hinkler Lions Tourist Park is available for travellers on the southern outskirts of the city close to Stockland Shopping Centre and Brothers Sports Club. This parking area offers access to dump points and potable water and is only available for self-contained RV's or caravans.
2. Bundaberg CBD - CMCA RV Park
CMCA RV Park Bundaberg provides a low-cost, no-frills accommodation for CMCA members whose vehicles meet the requirements of the CMCA Self Contained Vehicle (SCV) Policy. Vehicles must have on-board fresh water tanks and the ability to contain black and grey water. This CMCA RV Park provides access to a secure place to park, potable water and a dump point to offload black and grey water. CMCA RV Park Bundaberg is subject to CMCA Smoke Free Policy. 3. Avondale Taven
Provides a convenient stop over for vans and motor homes travelling through. Located approximately 22km north of Bundaberg the area offers a quiet, clean stop over.
4. Yandaran
A 20 hr stop at Yandaran is available for travellers in the street behind the pub. Yandaran is approximately 33km north of Bundaberg.
5. Wallum Rest Area
Located on Childers Road with BBQ shelters and public toilets.
6. Sharon Gorge Nature Park
Located on Gin Gin Road north of Bundaberg the short stay stop provides seating and public toilets. Overnight stays are restricted to fully self-contained vehicles only (20hr maximum).
7. Norval Park Campground - Fees Apply
Is located close to the oceanfront between Rules Beach and Miara. The property has been developed by Council to provide basic 'bush' camping of a zero or minimum facilities nature. Camping at Norval Park Campground is arranged by purchasing a permit and is open to tents and camper trailers only. To get a permit please phone the Bundaberg Visitor Information Centre on 07 4153 8888 or book online here. Caravans, motor homes and camper vans are not permitted. Council will inspect the site regularly to verify and enforce permits for each site. The campsite has a basic toilet facility and hand basin only. Campers must bring their own water supplies.
8. Childers
Council offers a caravan and motorhome parking area just one street back from the Bruce Highway in Crescent Street in the heart of Childers. This parking area offers one of the few dump points in the region and is also in close proximity to toilet and barbeque facilities just across the road in Millennium Park. Overnight (or maximum of 20 hours) now permitted for self-contained RV's or caravans only. Crescent Street is just a two minute walk from the historic, leopard tree lined main street of Childers.

9. Apple Tree Creek Rest Stop
This is a lovely big park with some great shady trees. There is a war memorial in the park and a quaint restored band rotunda.

- Water - not suitable to drink
- Children's playground
- Rubbish bins provided
- Dog friendly
- Suitable for all sized caravans
There is a maximum stay of 20 hours. This facility is located in Drummond Street, Apple Tree Creek, which runs parallel to the Bruce Highway.
10. Gin Gin Rest Area
Located off the Bruce Highway north of Gin Gin. Sealed access with drive through sites for big rigs and caravans. No power is available. Toilets are available however no dump points are on site. There is a maximum stay of 20 hours, potable water available.
